Getting your shot is half the battle. Style and mood is often crafted in your edit, using apps on your phone or your computer.
Post processing and understanding how to shape RAW files (which DSLR/Mirrorless make possible), is fundamental to taking your photography to the next level. This session will focus on techniques for shooting with your camera that make it possible to pull out necessary details in post processing.
We’ll also be reviewing some of the RAW files submitted by participants from the first 3 Sessions from previous weeks. Standout shots will be awarded a 17×22 print of their work, printed live on the Canon PRO 1000.
Session begins at 6:30pm sharp in the Canon Creator Lab at Free Space.
You’re welcome to bring your own camera of any brand or use one of the Canon cameras we have on hand. If you wish to use one of our Canon DSLR or Mirrorless cameras, please bring your own SD card as well as a valid form of ID (e.g. a Driver’s License or Government ID) to leave with our staff during the photowalk.
Want to try out new gear at Pre-Sesh?
Want to try out the latest Canon DSLR and Mirrorless bodies and lenses? Join us for Pre-Sesh at 5:30pm before the Session. An educator will be on hand to help you try innovative new gear from Canon, including their brand new EOSR and EOSRP bodies RF lenses. One lucky participant will win a chance to have one of their images printed on our professional line of Canon printers.
Born and raised in Toronto, Tristan O’Brien’s creative vision is intrinsically shaped by his hometown nostalgia and passion for sharing the stories, or “fragments” as he refers to them, that unfold around him. Tristan’s pursuit of capturing these fragments that we experience, sometimes for just a fleeting moment, has led to his passion behind the lens. As a lifelong fan of cinema, He looks to create a symbiosis between his unique perspective and the cinematic undertones that have inspired his work.
Some of Tristan’s clients include Canon, Nike, Jordan, Disney, Toronto Raptors, Uniqlo, Johnnie Walker, Adidas, Roots Canada, Hypebeast, Heineken, Nordstrom, Red Bull Racing, Best Buy, Ray-Ban, Tourism Canada and many more. “Always learning, always growing” is a motto that you will hear him toss around often, and a trait found throughout his work thus far.
