My name is Nicole Nyholt. I’m an Art Director living and working in Toronto. I studied design, love body swapping movies and shooting on my Dad’s old film cameras.
About 3 or 4 years ago my friend Judy and I started the tradition of meeting up on the west coast every spring. This year we were simply looking for a break and some sunshine, but we left the California desert mesmerized by its bizarre beauty. Whether it was a massive Jesus sign on a local’s front lawn or a mirrored house in the middle of the mountains, the desert felt like the ideal blank canvas on which to create something great.
This will go down as one of the most unique places I’ve ever shot.
